If you have a problem with a water heater we did not install, we are happy to help the best we can, however the company who installed your water heater should honor the warranty for the product that was installed. We are aware and understand that is not always to case.
The first thing we recommend is to check with the manufacturer of your water heater and confirm your warranty. Speak with the manufacturer about the problem with your water heater. At times, manufacturers have recalls or known problems with certain models. Manufacturers have certain warranty procedures they follow for these types of situations. They can also locate and recommend a warranty service provider in your area that can provide warranty service.
1. Locate the model # and serial # of your water heater
2. Contact the manufacturer of your water heater (see links below)
3. Schedule service for a repair or replacement with an approved service provider
Make sure you have your paperwork handy with your warranty information, if you can not find your paperwork locate the model # and serial # on the “rating plate” on your water heater. Sometimes the manufacturers can verify warranty with the model # and serial #. See our the examples of “rating plates” below so you know what to look for on your water heater. Once you have your information available contact the manufacturer for your brand of water heater.
